Aug 10 2010 - Sign your band up for the 24th Annual MCHS Tournament of Bands.  With two weeks left before the registration deadline of August 23, 2010. 7:00pm!  The contest is again shaping up as one of the premiere events in Central Kentucky, with many of the state's finest bands! Congratulations go out to the Madison Central Wind Ensemble for being selected to perform at the 2011 KMEA In-Service Conference  The Conference will be held between 9-12 in Louisville Kentucky so mark your calendars now! The band will perform in the Cascade Ballroom at the newly remodeled Kentucky International Convention Center.  This is the fifth time that a Madison Central Band has been selected for this prestigious statewide honor! Congratulations, Wind Ensemble.  Once again, you have again proven that you are among Kentucky's finest!

 

The Madison Central Wind Ensemble has been invited to participate in the 2010 Bands ofAmerica National Invitational Concert Band Festival. This festival features 16 bands from across the nation chosen through an extremely rigorous audition process.

In only five years, the Madison Central Wind Ensemble has established itself as one of the nation's premier concert ensembles. During that time, the Wind Ensemble has twice been invited to play at the Bands of America National Invitational Concert Band Festivals and three times at the KMEA State Convention!

The Madison Central Marching Band has become one of the premiere marching ensembles in the State of Kentucky!  The Marching Band has won eight Grand Championships over the last three years and has finished fourth, fifth, and SECOND in KMEA Class AAAAA!

In addition the 2009 Winter Drumline WON the prestigious Tri-States Scholastic A Competition, while the Winter Guard finished an impressive 3rd!

The staff is very excited about the prospects for the 2010 school year. Watch this space careful for announcements and information concerning the 2010 Season!
